Ken Frazier Named Among the Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare for 2016 by Modern Healthcare
Ken Frazier has been named one of the Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare. The Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare biennial recognition program honors the top minority healthcare executives who are influencing policy and care delivery models across the country.
Nominations for the biennial program are taken from all industry sectors, including hospitals, health systems, physician organizations, insurance, government, vendors and supplier organizations, and patients’ rights groups. Ken and the other honorees will be recognized at the Healthcare Awards Dinner on June 8, 2016.
Ken has been CEO and Chairman of the Board since 2011. He joined Merck & Co., Inc. in 1992 and has held a number of leadership positions, including President of Global Human Health, Vice President and General Counsel. Ken became a litigation associate at Drinker Biddle in 1978 and was a partner at the firm when he left to join Merck in 1992. Ken received his bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University and earned his J.D. from Harvard University School of Law in 1978.
