In Memoriam: Henry Shields, Jr.
News
We are saddened to report that our friend and former partner, Henry Shields, Jr., passed away on the morning of Friday, April 18, 2014 after a long and valiant fight against cancer. Henry was a top-notch litigator who represented many prominent entertainment and other companies during his nearly 40-year legal career. While he spent most of his life in sunny California – starting with attending law school at Boalt Hall in Berkeley – Henry remained proud of his roots on Chicago’s South Side. He joined Drinker Biddle in December 2009 and helped establish our Century City office in Los Angeles.
A memorial service for Henry will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, at the Bel Air Country Club, 10768 Bellagio Road, Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne, his sons, Brian and Matthew, and his many friends at Drinker Biddle. He was an excellent lawyer and a wonderful man, and he will be missed.
