Faegre Baker Daniels' Collaboration with The Sedona Conference Helps Develop Industry Guidelines and Best Practice

For more than a decade, Faegre Baker Daniels LLP has been in affiliation with The Sedona Conference® to develop and promote best practice guidelines in information sharing and electronic discovery, or e-discovery.

A non-partisan, non-profit organization, The Sedona Conference® is the nation's leading law and policy think tank that brings together prominent industry professionals into a working group designed to identify and discuss top legal issues including e-discovery, antitrust law, complex litigation and intellectual property rights.

Since development in 1997, The Sedona Conference® conducts a yearly series of limited attendance, dialogue-based conferences for leading jurists, lawyers and experts that allow them to study the top issues of law and policy.

Crucial issues facing the industry are identified and a Working Group, as part of The Sedona Conference® Working Group SeriesSM, consisting of around 35 core participants, gathers to discuss ideas. From there, a set of recommendations, principles and other educational guidance is created. Working Group output then goes through a peer review process involving members of the entire Working Group SeriesSM, which results in expert final commentary for publication and distribution.

"The Sedona Conference® provides a platform for thought leadership and development that is unmatched in the legal industry," said Deanna Blomquist, leader of Faegre Baker Daniels' client technology solutions group. "It is an honor to collaborate with Working Group members to create best practice guidelines that become the industry standard."
