Maureen Hardwick Featured in Legal Bisnow

Washington D.C., partner Maureen Hardwick were pictured in Legal Bisnow as she discussed her new role as a Regional Partner In Charge.

Maureen explained that her first task is to throw people together and overcome the silos that can form between practice groups.

Bisnow noted Maureen’s switch early in her career from first and second chairing trials to managing pharma consortia. Her focus, now, is on anthrax, smallpox, bioterror, and emerging diseases, particularly for one client that had a big win on the Hill a few weeks ago, helping reauthorize the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act.

Discussing the work-life balance in the Washington, D.C., office, Maureen said, "the key word is flexibility," as it makes a big difference to be able to work remotely or on weekends. The more women can see a range of models, the better, she said.

The article notes Maureen’s passion for cross-country skiing and annual family trips to the Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont. Maureen, a Vermont native said the lodge even has a connection to the firm: Name partner Henry Drinker was a music aficionado and helped the Von Trapps when they immigrated to the United States.
