In Memoriam: Former Partner and Friend Bill Morrison Passes Away
News
We regret to inform you that our former partner and good friend Bill Morrison passed away on December 4, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. Bill joined Gardner Carton & Douglas on July 1, 1958 and was a larger than life contributor to the advancement of the firm until his retirement on December 31, 2000. Bill was a highly respected tax lawyer, corporate and securities lawyer, and a trusted advisor to his clients and his colleagues. Bill served as Vice Chairman of GCD’s Management Committee for nine years. More importantly, Bill set a wonderful example for all of us with his sharp intellect, unwavering integrity and homespun Midwestern humor.
A memorial will be held at 5:00 on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at K. A. M. Isaiah Israel, 1100 E. Hyde Park Boulevard, Chicago IL, 60615. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, 70 E. Lake St. #700, Chicago, IL, 60601, or the Greater Chicago Food Depository, 4100 W.
