VLJ Honors Drinker Biddle's Pro Bono Commitment

Drinker Biddle is proud to receive the Pro-Bono Service Award from Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ).

VLJ has recognized our firm's efforts on behalf of the victims of Superstorm Sandy and will honor us, among nine other companies, as "Heroes of Sandy" at their 2013 Arts & Eats for Justice Gala on December 3 at the Newark Museum.

We are especially proud of the work of our three associates, Meredith Murphy, Mark Friesz and Diego Rosado, who provided legal training to other volunteer lawyers who had agreed to directly assist disaster victims. Mark, Meredith and Diego, in conjunction with VLJ, presented at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on how to help victims of disaster maximize FEMA aid. Drinker Biddle is a long-time supporter of VLA and partner Paul Nittoly serves on the Board of Trustees.
