Drinker Biddle's Newest Office Opens in Midtown Manhattan

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has opened its newest office in Midtown Manhattan at 1177 Avenue of the Americas, continuing its practice of strategic growth and anticipating its clients’ needs.  The firm’s previous New York office was located at 140 Broadway in Lower Manhattan.

Joining the office are Drinker Biddle partners James M. Altieri, Andrew B. Joseph and Michael P. Pompeo, who have moved to the new space on the 41st floor of the Americas Tower from the firm’s Florham Park, N.J., location.  They join the firm’s lawyers in New York, including partner Clay J. Pierce, who recently came to Drinker Biddle from Reed Smith, and Andrew Lorin, who joined the firm last year.

“We listened to our clients about where we should be,” said Alfred W. Putnam Jr., Drinker Biddle’s Chairman. “This move puts us in a better position to serve their needs and to continue attracting top-tier legal talent to support our growing client base in the city.”

The firm’s New York location, which was at 1 World Trade Center until the Sept. 11 attacks, provides clients with quality resources for their insurance, commercial litigation, corporate restructuring, capital markets and other legal needs.

“We are always looking for opportunities to expand our profile – both in New York and nationally,” said Altieri, a Managing Partner of the firm and the Regional Partner in Charge of the New York office.  “This move provides an ideal foundation for continuing our strategic growth, and we fully expect to add attorneys who will allow us to maintain – and increase – our momentum.”
