Drinker Biddle’s Jeffrey Ganiban Named as Top Health Care IT Lawyer by Nightingale’s Healthcare News

Jeffrey Ganiban, a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, was named one of 10 “Outstanding Healthcare IT Lawyers” for 2009 by Nightingale’s Healthcare News, a bi-monthly newsletter for professionals serving the health care industry.    

A member of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group, Ganiban was recognized for his nationwide work representing hospitals on a variety of healthcare IT matters.  His recent work with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Danbury Hospital, the Children’s National Medical Center, Memorial Health System in south Florida, Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas, Johns Hopkins Health Care, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Children’s Medical Center of Dayton was noted.   

Ganiban represents hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, health maintenance organizations and integrated delivery networks in technology, information system and capital equipment procurement and contracting.  He has also represented academic medical centers and community hospitals in a wide variety of projects and joint ventures with for-profit entities, including remote radiation treatment planning services, outpatient services, long-term acute care hospitals and disease management programs.  Ganiban was named as an “Outstanding Health Transaction Lawyer” by Nightingale’s in 2006.
