Faegre & Benson Expands Partnership in U.S. and U.K.

Faegre & Benson LLP has named eight new partners effective Jan. 1, 2009.

Joining the partnership in the Minneapolis office are Theodore M. Budd, Craig S. Coleman, John L. Crimmins and Abby E. Wilkinson.

New partners in the firm's Denver office are Brandee L. Caswell and Lynn M. Kornfeld.

Richard L. Reichstein was named a partner in the firm's Boulder office. Alex Denny will be a partner in the firm's London office.

Biographies:

Theodore M. Budd is an intellectual property lawyer who focuses on patent litigation and patent infringement and validity investigations and opinions. He handles a variety of intellectual property matters for clients in areas such as medical devices, disk drive technology and filtration technology. Budd is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he teaches patent litigation. He is a graduate of Marquette University (B.S., summa cum laude, 1998) and the University of Minnesota (J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, 2001).

Brandee L. Caswell is a trial lawyer who has successfully litigated numerous cases in state and federal court. Her practice focuses primarily on complex real estate, eminent domain, land use and natural resources litigation. Caswell is a graduate of Colorado State University (B.A., 1995) and the University of Kansas (J.D., 1998).

Craig S. Coleman is a member of the Faegre & Benson litigation practice. He focuses on antitrust and complex commercial disputes. Coleman also provides antitrust counseling to corporations and trade associations. Coleman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S., 1993; Ph.D., 2000) and Stanford University (J.D., with distinction, Order of the Coif, 2001).

John L. Crimmins is a member of the firm's intellectual property practice. He concentrates his practice on U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, intellectual property portfolio analysis and counseling, patent infringement and validity investigations and opinions, intellectual property transfer agreements, and patent litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire (B.S., magna cum laude, 1998) and the University of Wisconsin (J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, 2001).

Alex Denny leads the employment practice in the firm's London office. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and employment aspects of the management of executive terminations. Denny also advises employers on fair procedures for recruitment and selection, contracts of employment and employment policies, severance agreements, outsourcing, and Employment Tribunal and EAT litigation. He is a graduate of Oxford University (B.A., 1993) and the College of Law, London and York (Common Professional Examination, 1994; Legal Practice Course, with commendation, 1995).

Lynn M. Kornfeld focuses on environmental law. She advises clients on a variety of compliance and enforcement matters arising under the Clean Water Act; Clean Air Act; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act; and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. Her practice also emphasizes environmental corporate and real estate transactional matters, including brownfield redevelopment projects. Kornfeld is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder (B.A., 1991) and the University of Colorado (J.D., 1998).

Richard L. Reichstein, a member of the firm's real estate practice, focuses on commercial real estate transactions. He assists clients with all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, including purchase and sales, entitlement, development, common interest communities, leasing, and financing. Reichstein is a graduate of the University of Denver (J.D., Order of St. Ives, 2000).

Abby E. Wilkinson is a member of the firm's finance and restructuring practice. She concentrates on corporate debt restructuring, bankruptcy and related litigation matters. Wilkinson represents indenture trustees, investors and other creditors in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A., 1997) and the University of Wisconsin (J.D., 2001).
