International law firm Faegre & Benson LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Partner in its London office. Alex Denny, who is Special Counsel and Head of the London employment group, has been appointed Partner, effective from January 1, 2009.

An Oxford graduate, Alex has been at Faegre & Benson since 2007 where he primarily focuses on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and the management of executive terminations. Alex also advises employers on fair procedures for recruitment and selection, contracts of employment and employment policies, severance agreements, outsourcing, Employment Tribunal and EAT litigation. He has extensive experience advising multinational businesses on worldwide labour and employment issues.

Alex's appointment will be one of nine new Partner additions within the international firm that will take effect from the New Year. "We are delighted to have appointed Alex as a Partner. He is a valued member of the firm. The addition of all nine new Partners is an exciting development for us at Faegre & Benson. I know Alex and the other new Partners will make a success of their new positions."

Alex Denny commented:

"This is an exciting time for me, the firm and the London employment group. I look forward to beginning my new role in the New Year and relish the challenges ahead."
