Baker & Daniels Moves to K Street's "Greenest" Site in Washington, D.C.
Baker & Daniels LLP and B&D Consulting, a division of the law firm, have relocated their Washington, D.C. office to a new LEED Gold building at 1050 K Street this month.
The new offices, which include nearly 60 professionals, cover just over 37,000 square feet in the new 11-story LEED™ Gold building designed by Hickok Cole, a joint venture of The Lenkin Company and The Tower Companies. The LEED certified building features increased natural lighting, a "green" roof, roof-top terrace and advanced air filtration systems, as well as operational cost savings through improved mechanical systems.
"Given our firm-wide focus on advancing clean technologies and managing environmental impact, the 1050 K Street project made perfect sense to accommodate our growing practices," said Tom Froehle, Chair and Chief Executive Partner at Baker & Daniels. "We expect to see continued growth and expansion in the coming years in this market."
"We are excited to be moving into a space that matches our values and can support our growth and evolution for the next several years," said David Zook, Chair of B&D Consulting.
"We have developed leading practices serving clients across the country and beyond from our Washington base," added Zook. "We continue to build practices that rely on teamwork — bringing different professional backgrounds and disciplines to bear on problems. We focus on our clients' needs — whether the need is for a consultant with a Ph.D., M.D., Democrat or Republican — we can bring the right people to the table."
