Faegre & Benson Represents FreeWave in Largest Boulder Private Equity Deal Since 2000

Faegre & Benson LLP recently served as company counsel in the $113 million private equity financing of Boulder-based FreeWave Technologies, a leading provider of high-performance spread spectrum radio products and services. The deal ranks among the largest of its kind in the United States this year and marks the largest venture capital investment in a Boulder company since 2000.

The FreeWave deal solidifies Faegre & Benson's position at the forefront of the largest venture capital investments in Colorado companies. It is the largest private equity financing of a Colorado company this year, and it closely follows the firm's 2006 representation of Englewood-based Adam Aircraft in the $93 million venture capital financing that stands as the largest such deal in Colorado that year.
