Baker & Daniels Names Tom Froehle Chair and Chief Executive Partner

Thomas C. Froehle Jr. has been named Chair and Chief Executive Partner (CEP) of Baker & Daniels LLP. Froehle was elected to a four-year term by fellow partners on October 13.

Effective January 1, Froehle will succeed Brian K. Burke, who announced his plans in August to relinquish his role as Chair and Chief Executive Officer but remain as a partner at Baker & Daniels and continue his civil litigation and mediation practices. The firm changed the title from CEO to CEP to more accurately describe the most senior leadership position at Baker & Daniels.

"Under Brian's extraordinary leadership, Baker & Daniels has expanded dramatically and now serves clients on an international, national and regional basis. Burke is completing his 15th year as the firm's CEO. He led Baker & Daniels' expansion geographically across Indiana and around the globe, as well as doubling the number of lawyers and consultants practicing from offices in Indiana, Washington, D.C. and China. Founded in 1863, Baker & Daniels now has more than 370 lawyers and consulting professionals serving clients in transactional, regulatory and litigation matters. Froehle, who joined Baker & Daniels in 1988, has served as a member of firm management since 2000. He currently serves as a member of the executive committee and as managing partner for practices. In his legal practice, he has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Indiana Super Lawyers.
