Drinker Biddle Elects Four New Partners

PHILADELPHIA, PA  (January 26, 2004) - The law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has elected four new partners, effective February 1, 2004. They are: Ian P. Goldstein, John R. Przypyszny, Steven M. Selna, and David J. Woolf.

"The election of these partners showcases the depth of talent within Drinker Biddle, with new partners being drawn from the corporate and securities, education law, intellectual property, and labor and employment practices," said James M. Sweet, Chairman. "These fine lawyers represent the future of our firm."

Ian P. Goldstein is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Securities group, resident in the Princeton office. His practice focuses primarily on acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions, private equity transactions, and representing emerging growth companies. Mr. Goldstein earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Rutgers University. He graduated with distinction from Rutgers University School of Law.

John R. Przypyszny is resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office and heads the Education Law Practice Group. His practice concentrates on institutions of higher education, the companies and investors which comprise the evolving education market, as well as institutional and programmatic accrediting agencies. Mr. Przypyszny received his undergraduate degree with honors from Georgetown University and his law degree cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.

Steven M. Selna is a member of the firm’s Products Liability Group and serves a national clientele out of Drinker’s San Francisco office. He concentrates on representing pharmaceutical and medical device concerns in complex litigation, including commercial, product liability and class action disputes. His practice also focuses on representing corporate and individual clients in intellectual property disputes, including copyright, trademark and trade secrets litigation. Mr. Selna received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

David J. Woolf, resident in the Philadelphia office, practices in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. His practice focuses on assisting corporate and individual clients in a range of labor and employment-related matters, including employment litigation and counseling, union/management relations, and individual employee rights and obligations. Mr. Woolf received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from Columbia University, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
