Drinker Biddle Appoints Three New Counsel

PHILADELPHIA, PA  (January 26, 2004) - The law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has appointed three new counsel. Janet Fries, Andrew B. Joseph and Jeffrey J. Lopez were named counsel to the firm effective February 1, 2004.

"These outstanding lawyers have consistently dedicated themselves to the highest levels of client service," said James M. Sweet, Chairman. "Their appointment to Counsel reflects their dedication to excellence in their respective practice groups."

Janet Fries of the firm’s Washington, DC office practices in the Intellectual Property Group. Her practice focuses on copyright, trademark, entertainment and Internet law. Ms. Fries earned her undergraduate degree from Smith College and a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University. She received her law degree with honors from George Washington University National Law Center.

Andrew B. Joseph of the Florham Park office is a member of the General Litigation Group. His work focuses on complex telecommunications litigation, commercial business disputes, corporate investigations and white collar crime. Mr. Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University and his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.

Jeffrey J. Lopez is resident in the Washington, DC office and a member of the General Litigation Group. He concentrates primarily on general commercial litigation and construction law, with an emphasis on construction related products liability. Mr. Lopez also has extensive experience litigating copyright matters. He received his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and his law degree with honors from Georgetown University Law Center.
