CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization, acquired The Columbus Organization, a leading provider of on-site services for the intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral needs community. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Columbus Organization provides care coordination, professional clinical staffing and quality improvement services; with more than 580 employees, it serves more than 100,000 individuals across 13 states.
The acquisition, completed in November 2021, represents a major step in CareSource’s growth phase, expanding the organization’s ability to meet the needs of complex populations. Faegre Drinker represented CareSource in the acquisition.
