Property Owner Awarded More Than $28.5M in Just Compensation in City Condemnation Action

North America - United States | North America | United States - Colorado

Our firm served as eminent domain counsel for an owner whose 9.5 acre industrial property was taken by the City and County of Denver for the National Western Center redevelopment project. The City contended that the owner was only entitled to $12.59 million in just compensation. After we tried the case, the owner received a total award of $28.50 million (including interest). Because of the size of the award, the owner was reimbursed all of its attorney fees and costs.
