Coalition Advocates for Modernizing Privacy & Data Security Laws

United States - District of Columbia

The 21st Century Privacy Coalition was formed in 2013 to advocate for modernizing U.S. privacy and data security laws to better reflect consumer expectations as well as technological and competitive changes in the communications marketplace. Founding members include AT&T, Comcast, CTIA-The Wireless Association, DIRECTV, Time Warner Cable and Verizon. Our firm provided strategic federal affairs advice and planning services to the coalition.

The coalition has shaped legislation that is important to its members, including the Data Security and Breach Notification Act, which was passed by the House Energy & Commerce Committee in April 2015.
