Piper Jaffray & Co. won a two-week jury trial in Iowa federal court where the plaintiff county sought more than $15 million in damages in connection with a municipal bond offering. The jury returned a defense verdict on five of six claims, and awarded $1 in damages on the remaining claim, which was in turn set aside in post-trial motions for a complete dismissal.
