Overview

Andrew Pouzeshi is an experienced intellectual property attorney with a focus on patents and technology. He advises computer, telecommunications, health care and financial services clients on programs and tactics to maximize the business value of intellectual property, with a particular focus on software and electrical technology. Andrew counsels clients on strategies and timing related to patent filings, he drafts and prosecutes patent applications, and advises on infringement matters.

Patent Prosecution and Infringement

Andrew has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the United States, drafting appeal briefs, managing the prosecution of international patent portfolios, and participating in administrative patent challenges proceedings. In addition, Andrew is experienced preparing both infringement and non-infringement opinions as well as validity and invalidity opinions for clients.

Andrew’s technical focus is in the software and electrical technology space. He has extensive experience related to operating systems (Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iOS) as well as:

In healthcare technology, Andrew has significant patent experience related to auditory prostheses, bone plates and bone screws, remote diagnostic technologies and medical imaging.

Strategic IP Programs

Andrew helps clients identify areas in their patent portfolios that can be strengthened, and find new ways to monetize their existing IP. He counsels clients on the appropriate timing of patent applications, and collaborates with in-house counsel to develop patent programs and filing strategies tailored to a company’s needs.
