Brendan McHugh is a practical problem-solver and trusted advocate who assists a wide-range of clients at both the trial and appellate level and leverages his experience to advise them in their day-to-day business operations. Brendan routinely represents clients facing a variety of complex commercial disputes involving business torts, contract disputes and securities issues, as well as claims arising from corporate transactions and employment-related litigation.

Brendan’s practice ranges from pre-litigation counseling, written discovery and depositions, and direct involvement and support at trials and arbitrations. He has particular experience in the financial services industry and frequently represents clients in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Brendan also has meaningful experience in appellate practice before, among others, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and direct involvement with internal investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Brendan excelled as a competitive swimmer. Brendan is a multiple-time member of the U.S. National Team during which time he represented the United States in international competition. He was a multiple-time All-American and Academic All-American at the University of Pennsylvania, a National Champion, multiple-time finalist at Olympic trials, and former national record holder.
