Overview
Alyce Hammer advises and advocates for clients navigating the complex government and regulatory landscape, with a particular focus on privacy and cybersecurity. She assists clients with data privacy, artificial intelligence, and similarly related matters in regulatory, transactional, and investigatory contexts.
Privacy & Cybersecurity
Alyce counsels clients on matters relating to state, federal, and global data privacy and artificial intelligence regulation and legislation, including the California Consumer Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
She works closely with clients to assist with privacy and cybersecurity compliance and advocacy work. In particular, she is well experienced in drafting external and internal privacy notices and policies, data protection agreements, business associate agreements (BAAs), and more. She also advises on current and upcoming privacy and consumer health data-related laws and regulations.
Prior Experience
Alyce was a judicial law clerk for Judge Edward H. Meyers at the United States Court of Federal Claims from 2025 to 2026.
During law school, she was a summer law clerk with the Texas Office of the Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division. In this role, she assisted with litigation and investigation efforts for Texas civil enforcement actions and large-scale multidistrict litigations. Through Notre Dame’s London Law Program, Alyce interned for Rodney Dixon KC at Temple Garden Chambers, working on matters relating to international criminal and human rights laws.
Alyce was a summer associate with Faegre Drinker.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Alyce enjoys exploring D.C., hand embroidering, reading, and spending time with family. She also loves cheering on her favorite college sports teams — SMU, Notre Dame, and the University of Tennessee.Credentials

Pro Bono
During her time with the firm, Alyce has counseled pro bono clients on an array of privacy-related issues and matters.
In law school, Alyce represented a client on appeal before the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. There, she successfully advocated for the proper application of the US Federal Sentencing Guidelines as they pertained to the client.
