Overview

For Jack Frost Jr., few things are as invigorating as taking product liability, toxic tort and mass tort claims to task. A skilled litigator and trial attorney, Jack routinely serves as national, regional and local counsel, coordinating the defense and trial of cases for business magnates and Fortune 500 trailblazers as well as small, independently owned companies. Jack is also frequently called upon to help negotiate and litigate precarious trust and estate disputes as well as commercial business disputes.

In addition to his core litigation and trial practice, Jack negotiates and closes high-value loan and bond financings, defends financial institutions under regulatory investigation and counsels multinational banks on the issuance of tax advantageous securities and multitiered financings.

Product, Toxic Tort and Mass Tort Defense

Jack frequently acts as national coordinating counsel, as well as regional trial and local liaison counsel, for domestic and international manufacturing companies against claims of asbestos and other chemical and mass-tort-related injuries. He handles cases across the country with a concentration on the eastern seaboard, and brings territory-specific insights, having defended and tried cases in jurisdictions of varying difficulty, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Estate Litigation

Over the past decade, Jack has carved out a healthy trust, probate and conservatorship litigation practice, handling:

  • Litigation and disputes involving trusts, decedents’ estates and conservatorships
  • Will and trust contests
  • Breach of fiduciary duty and removal of fiduciary claims
  • Demands for accountings
  • Interpretation of testamentary instruments, principally representing trust and estate beneficiaries

Project Finance

Jack represents and counsels clients with respect to nontraditional and traditional financings, including:

  • Structured and multitiered financing
  • Bonds and other public securities
  • Lines of credit
  • New markets tax credits
  • Other debt issuance instruments, including private fund investment, typically tied to project capital investment or development

Jack serves as special counsel, bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, trustee’s counsel and bank counsel on various tax-exempt and taxable debt financings for private, public and municipal entities nationwide. This has led to strong trust and substantive work with:

  • Charter schools
  • Developers
  • Public finance investment banking firms
  • Public power facilities
  • Higher and public education institutions
  • Highways and other types of governmental infrastructure
  • Nonprofit organizations and hospitals

Jack also supports state and local governments and authorities on general obligation and revenue financings.
