Overview

Ethan Bell advises clients of all sizes on strategies to protect and defend their intellectual property. His technical knowledge spans several industries, including computer software, telecommunications, computer networking, content distribution, cloud computing, electronic circuits and mechanical inventions.

Patent Work

Ethan prepares and prosecutes patents, and helps clients increase the value of their patent portfolios through directed prosecution. He assists with patent opinions, inter partes review petitions and associated declarations, and other post-grant proceedings, as well as pre-appeal, appeal and reply briefs. He also performs both offensive and defensive patent analysis, advises on licensing negotiations, and participates in oral hearings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Personal Interests

Outside of practicing law, Ethan’s interests include hiking, skiing, racquetball and golf. He is also a former independent software developer, and enjoys 3D modeling and 3D printing.
