Overview

Joseph Argentina’s professional roots as a graphic designer and creative director taught him to see novel yet practical solutions to legal and business challenges. Clients value Joe’s counsel and presence in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring cases, knowing that Joe will seek to devise advantageous workout plans and effective litigation strategies on their behalf.

 He advises large and small creditors (including Fortune 500 companies, lenders and trade creditors), debtors, committees, bankruptcy trustees and affected third parties through all types of creditor-debtor scenarios. Specifically, Joe counsels on:

  • Chapter 11 reorganizations and related litigations

Joe handles both litigation and transactional work, and much of his work includes both. He shares his knowledge with the bankruptcy legal community by coauthoring a regular column in The Legal Intelligencer since 2010. He also authors articles for the American Bankruptcy Institute and others, and speaks on numerous panels.

Previous Experience

Joe is a second-career lawyer who previously held positions of lead designer, programmer and creative director for a multimedia marketing/advertising firm, and later owned a creative services consulting firm.

Personal Interests

Joe enjoys travel, especially trips that include swimming with sea turtles through coral reefs. He can frequently be found camping with his daughters in one of Pennsylvania’s many state parks. He is an avid racquetball player.

Joe has represented indigent parents in Delaware family court custody litigation and has advised nonprofit charitable organizations in debt restructuring matters. He currently sits on the board of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, an organization that assists low-income individuals with filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.
