Elliot Vice Talks to CBS News About the Future of Telehealth Regulations

According to CBS News, both patients and telehealth startups have benefited from easier access to controlled substances and online treatment during the pandemic. The publication turned to health policy and government relations director Elliot Vice for his commentary on the future of telehealth regulations from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

What the DEA’s rule will say, which would create a registration process for providers interested in prescribing controlled substances online, is “anyone’s guess,” said Vice. “To see this still not move, it is puzzling,” he added, noting that the rule has been pending for years.
