Fred Reish Discusses DOL Interim Rule With CNBC

CNBC reported that under an interim rule, 401(k) plan providers would provide two illustrations to participants at least once a year showing what their nest egg could provide if converted to a single life annuity and a joint one. The publication turned to benefits and executive compensation partner Fred Reish for insight on the Department of Labor’s interim rule.

When discussing the background of this update to the rule, Reish explained that “the congressional objective was to help participants understand whether they were saving enough to produce the income they would need in retirement.”
