Claire Nilson Comments on New Visa Introduced in UK Spring Budget

Personnel Today reported in the article “Budget introduces elite visa to lure tech entrepreneurs” that the United Kingdom government is set to introduce an “elite points-based visa,” a further component of the government’s initiative to revamp the immigration system post-Brexit. The publication turned to London counsel Claire Nilson for her insight on the new visa.

Nilson mentioned that the most important point from the budget announcement was that the new visa would not need to be sponsored by a U.K. company. This “will hopefully make it reasonable and desirable to people who are entrepreneurs and workers in this [science and technology] sector.
