Appellate Civil Case Law Update – September 2021

Res Gestae

Business litigation partner Kathy Osborn and associate Elizabeth Charles coauthored the Appellate Civil Case Law Update column for the Indiana State Bar Association’s Res Gestae December issue.

In September, the Indiana Supreme Court issued three civil opinions and the Indiana Court of Appeals issued eight published civil opinions. Osborn and Charles summarize the Indiana Supreme Court’s three decisions – Reece v. Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc., Southlake Indiana, LLC v. Lake Cty. Assessor, and Culver Cmty. Tchrs. Ass’n v. Indiana Educ. Emp. Rels. Bd.

They also provide insight on two of the Court of Appeals decisions – Cutter v. Jurus and Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor v. Citizens Wastewater of Westfield, LLC.
