Business Immigration Series: Compliance & Hiring Strategies for 2025
Webinar
Overview
Please join us for the next webinar in our 2025 Business Immigration Series as Faegre Drinker attorneys Beth Carlson, Sari Long, Roger Tsai and Sarah Kilibarda provide a closer look at work visas and permanent residence options for tech and IT professionals. Our discussion will focus on computer science, software development, AI, engineering, data science and other tech-related roles within a broad range of industries, including the software and IT industries. Considering the administration’s reforms on immigration processes, we will discuss common work visas including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1 and areas of renewed scrutiny. Our panelists will also speak to permanent residence options for these IT professionals, including PERM applications and current difficulties in the process with broad layoffs in the tech industry. Other accelerated permanent residence options will also be discussed, including updates with the National Interest Waiver (NIW) category. This session will also highlight additional hot topics important to business immigration, including new and emerging issues with the second Trump administration with an emphasis on international travel and changes to visa processing at overseas consulates.
