Health Care Attorney Isaac Willett Rejoins Faegre Drinker in Indianapolis

Faegre Drinker announced today that Isaac (Ike) Willett has rejoined Faegre Drinker in the Indianapolis office as counsel in the health care group. Willett previously served as vice president, deputy general counsel & chief transactional counsel at a national health care system.

Willett’s practice centers on providing practical advice for health systems, hospitals, medical groups and other health care entities to help them pursue strategic sector growth. In his work with health care organizations across the country, Willett has led a wide array of complex transactions including mergers, acquisitions, membership substitutions, joint ventures, and other strategic affiliations.

“Ike has spent his entire career centered in the health care sector and brings a well-rounded approach in providing practical solutions to clients across the industry,” said health care group leader Steve Lokensgard. “In today’s health care transaction environment, Ike’s deep experience navigating complex deals and regulatory challenges will be a tremendous asset to our clients as they pursue new opportunities.”

Willett helps health care organizations achieve their goals through analyzing and developing transaction structures, leading high-stakes negotiations, and managing due-diligence teams responsible for reviewing considerable amounts of data on aggressive timelines.

Additionally, Willett counsels clients on developing regulatory compliance strategies, including compliance with health care facility licensing laws, health care privacy laws, Medicare and Medicaid, the Stark Act, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. He also provides corporate governance advice and other day-to-day legal issues.

Willett earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and juris doctor, cum laude, from IU McKinney School of Law, where he served as senior executive editor for the Indiana Law Review.
