The Legal 500 U.K. Recognizes Faegre Drinker’s Attorneys and Practice Areas in their 2027 Edition

The Legal 500 United Kingdom 2027 guide has recognized Faegre Drinker’s London finance and restructuring and investment management groups and partners.

The retail funds team was ranked as “Tier 2” in the “Investment Fund Formation and Management” category. Partner Michelle Moran was noted as a “Leading Partner” and investment management counsel Rupert Barnes was noted as a “Key Lawyer.” Legal 500 added that the team “handles cross-border matters involving unregulated and regulated funds, including UCITS funds and closed-end listed funds” and that “regulatory advice, structuring issues, and distribution arrangements are all core workstreams for the team.

Legal 500 also ranked the firm’s corporate restructuring and insolvency team as “Tier 7” in the “Finance” category, highlighting Patrick Corr as a “Hall of Fame” lawyer.  Finance and restructuring partners Buvini Kularatne, Gary Bellingham, Wayne Beck, and associate Eleni Michaela were noted as “Key Lawyers.” The publication added that the team “acts on a comprehensive range of matters, including distressed private equity and real estate mandates as well as litigation relating to situations of financial stress.”

The firm was also named in the financial services: non-contentious/regulatory category as a “Firm to Watch,” highlighting Moran, Barnes, and insurance partner Steven Francis. Legal 500 added that the team is “particularly noted for the strength of its cross-jurisdictional practice, capable of servicing clients in the full gamut of non-contentious work.”

Litigation partner Jeremy Andrews was noted as a “Leading Partner” in the “Fraud: Civil” category for his work “leading on market-leading deals” and being “endorsed by peers and clients alike.”

These rankings reflect the result of analysis by the Legal 500 research team, who conduct thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers and read tens of thousands of submissions to select the best lawyers and law firms in the UK. As part of their research, Legal 500 canvassed the views of more than 40,000 general counsels and clients.
