FaegreBD Welcomes 5 New Associates in Denver as Part of 2019 Fall Class

Faegre Baker Daniels is excited to welcome the following, five new associate attorneys to our firm’s Denver office.

Hannah Carter
A dedicated problem-solver, Hannah Carter helps companies manage complex litigation and address product liability concerns. Prior to joining FaegreBD, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Elizabeth Brodsky of Boulder County Court and the Honorable Thomas F. Mulvahill of the Twentieth Judicial District of Colorado.

Carter earned her law degree from University of Colorado Law School, dean’s list; and received a bachelor’s degree, dean’s list, from Barnard College.

Jessica Cordero
Jessica Cordero partners with insurance stakeholders to manage legal and regulatory challenges and adapt to industry changes. She previously served as a summer associate for FaegreBD, where she drafted memos and created legal arguments for briefs in intellectual property, employment and business litigation matters.

Cordero earned her law degree from University of Denver Sturm College of Law; and received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Sam Houston State University.

Javier Mabrey

Javier Mabrey guides clients through matters in construction and real estate, including eminent domain. Mabrey previously worked as a summer associate in FaegreBD’s Denver office and assisted on a variety of matters, drafted documents, conducted research and provided strategic input. He also served as a law clerk on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.

Mabrey earned his law degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, with pro bono honors. He also received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from University of Colorado Boulder.

Jesse Marks
Jesse Marks advises in complex litigation matters. He previously served as a FaegreBD summer associate, where he supported attorneys across multiple practice areas. He also worked as a summer intern with the Office of the District Attorney in Philadelphia. There, he drafted motions and memos for assistant district attorneys and researched legal issues.

Marks earned his law degree, with honors, from University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also received a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Becca Smith
Becca Smith provides legal counsel to help construction and real estate stakeholders complete projects, mitigate risk and advance their business goals. Prior to working at FaegreBD, she completed a clerkship at the Colorado Supreme Court.

Smith earned her law degree, with high honors, Order of the Coif, from Emory University School of Law. She also earned a master’s degree from Bank Street College of Education; and earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, with honors, from Brandeis University.
