Andy Kassner, Jane Koehl and Cheryl Orr Attend Daily Journal’s Women Leadership in Law Conference
Chairman and CEO Andy Kassner, COO Jane Koehl and managing partner Cheryl Orr attended the Daily Journal’s Women Leadership in Law conference. The event brought law firm professionals and in-house practitioners together for panel discussions and interactive forums on topics relevant to women leaders and the legal profession.
Cheryl is co-chair of the day-long Beverly Hills event, along with Deborah Chang of Panish Shea & Boyle and Linda Kornfeld of Blank Rome. Kathryn Ruemmler, former counsel to President Barack Obama, served as the conference’s keynote speaker, while special guest Jamie Lee Curtis was honored with the first Women Leadership in Law Award.
Drinker Biddle is a platinum sponsor of the event. Conference topics included the #MeToo movement in the legal profession, women in the courtroom, leading women in legislature, and different paths taken by women at the top of their fields.
Andy participated in a panel titled “Males from the C-Suite,” which featured male C-suite leaders from various industries who shared their perspectives and best practices for supporting women in their industry. Cheryl served as moderator. Jane’s panel was titled “Developing Skills Essential to Success,” and discussed financial reviews, interpreting financial statements and spotting industry trends, and identifying areas of concern and growth.
