Chris Dolan Elected Chair of Board of Trustees at The College of St. Scholastica

Chris Dolan, partner in Faegre Baker Daniels’ product liability and environmental practice, has been elected chair of The College of Saint Scholastica Board of Trustees.

Dolan graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. in 2001, and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees since 2010. He presented to the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges at the National Conference of Trusteeship in April 2016 about the next generation of higher education leadership boards.

Dolan specializes in environmental and natural resources litigation, environmental review, administrative proceedings, permitting, and compliance matters. Outside of his legal practice, he is heavily involved in initiatives he cares about, including pro bono work on matters involving child custody and civil rights. He is a former commissioner of the City of Saint Paul Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and is a past recipient of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Diversity in Business Award, the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association’s Equality and Justice Award, Minnesota Lawyer’s Attorney of the Year award and KARE 11’s Eleven Who Care designation.

Established in 1912, The College of Saint Scholastica is a private Catholic Benedictine college with over 4,300 undergraduate and graduate students. The College’s main campus is in Duluth, Minnesota, with additional campuses across Minnesota and Arizona.  

Dolan’s two-year term as chair will begin on September 1, 2016.
