Peggy Steif Abram of Faegre Baker Daniels Named to Women in Business

Peggy Steif Abram, a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, has been named one of 50 honored businesswomen in the Twin Cities by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as part of the publication's annual Women in Business Awards.

Abram was selected as an industry leader based on her noteworthy professional achievements and leadership qualities. As a partner in the corporate group at Faegre Baker Daniels, she has advised clients on business matters, including corporate governance, SEC reporting, contracts, financing, compliance and risk management for more than 25 years.

Abram has held a variety of leadership roles at the firm, including service as president of the Faegre Baker Daniels Foundation, which supports the firm's communities by providing funding to social, cultural and legal nonprofit organizations. She is also a member of the firm's diversity and inclusion advisory group and of the leadership council of FaegreBD's Women's Forum for Achievement. She is active in the National Association of Women Lawyers, for which she serves as this year's Annual Meeting Program Committee co-chair.

Abram also was recognized for her wide-ranging community involvement, supporting arts, education and legal rights in the Twin Cities. She is currently a member of the board of directors of the Guthrie Theater, and previously served on the board of directors of Stages Theatre Company for 12 years. She is also a board member of  LearningWorks at The Blake School and the Breast Cancer Awareness Association of Minnesota, and has been involved with several other organizations including the Children's Law Center, the Friends of Children Foundation and the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.

Abram received her bachelor's degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., a master's degree from The University of Chicago Divinity School, and her law degree from Harvard Law School.
