Working Mother Magazine Again Names Drinker Biddle One of the 50 Best Law Firms for Women

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP was again named one of “Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers, recognizing the firm for its commitment to a merit-based associate program and the number of women in leadership positions.

The firm was also named a top 50 firm for women in 2009, the last time the list was compiled by the National Association for Female Executives, a division of Working Mother Media, and FlexTime Lawyers.

In its assessment of Drinker Biddle, Working Mother noted that there are women reside on every firm committee, including two of the most important — the Managing Partners and the Allocations Committee — and that the firm’s largest office, Philadelphia, is managed by a female partner, Jill Bronson.  The firm was also praised for its flex-time arrangements and reduced-hour policies, which allow “each lawyer to create her own career path to success.”

“This recognition reaffirms for us the importance of creating an environment in which all of our lawyers can thrive and provide the very best work for our clients,” said Alfred W. Putnam, Jr., Chairman of Drinker Biddle.  “Our firm has long believed that we should distinguish ourselves through unparalleled client service.  We achieve that through the hard work of all our lawyers, including those who help make our profession more accessible to women.”

Profiles of the 2011 Best Law Firms for Women are featured in the fall 2011 issue of NAFE magazine and can be found online at www.nafe.com, www.workingmother.com and www.flextimelawyers.com.
