Education Management Corporation Wind Down Culminates in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Following a two-year process during which Education Management Corporation sold or “taught out” over 100 for-profit post-secondary schools (including Argosy University, South University, Brown Mackie College and The Art Institutes), our firm assisted the company in its final wind down and recovery of “remnant assets.” The effort culminated in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing of 56 different companies within the corporate structure.
