Cable Company Granted Motion to Compel Arbitration in TCPA Complaint

A cable services provider was granted a motion to compel arbitration in a complaint alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff alleged that calls were made to the plaintiff’s cellular telephone number for purposes of commercial solicitation by use of an automatic telephone dialing system (ATDS) without the plaintiff’s consent.
