Our firm secured a federal jury trial victory for Flint Hills Resources LP, a major oil company. Flint Hills had hired Lovegreen Turbine Services, Inc., a contractor, to overhaul a gas compressor in one of the most important units of the refinery. In the course of the overhaul, Lovegreen damaged the compressor, which had to be shut down and repaired. This resulted in approximately $7 million in business-interruption damages for Flint Hills. After a week-long trial, the jury awarded Flint Hills the damages that it sought.
