Murray Clark Discusses the South Shore Commuter Rail Extension in an Inside Indiana Business Roundtable

Faegre Baker Daniels partner and former Indiana state senator Murray Clark participated in a roundtable hosted by Gerry Dick on Inside Indiana Business focusing in part on the South Shore commuter rail extension.

The South Shore commuter rail line, which currently services Gary, Ind., recently got a green light for funding from the State for an extension. The project will receive $6 million a year for 30 years.

Clark explained that in his view, this was a huge regional success for economic development in Northwest Indiana saying, “This is a material amount of money from the state budget that can be leveraged against matching federal funds.”
