Indiana Needs to Pay our Elected Leaders More
Former Indiana state senator and current Faegre Baker Daniels partner Murray Clark co-authored an article in the Indianapolis Star underscoring the need to increase wages of elected officials in Indiana. While Clark and the other authors recognize that increasing wages of elected officials in the current economic political climate is a challenge, an increase is necessary to attract the best talent to run for office. They stress that non-competitive wages are a disservice to taxpayers that risks weakening government programs and services in the long run.
