IGI Boot Camp

Overview

Washington, D.C. partners Bennett B. Borden, Jay Brudz and of counsel, Jason R. Baron, led discussions and guided participants through a series of working sessions during the Information Governance Conference held on September 9, 2014 in Hartford, Connecticut. During the boot camp, participants learned about setting the stage for IG at their organizations, the various “facets” of IG, how to form a steering committee, getting started on their first IG project, and much more. During the working sessions, participants had an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and work with peers to explore the various facets of IG, their interests, and potential conflicts and synergies. They also saw an IG steering committee in action, had an opportunity to identify potential dysfunctions, and brainstormed with the group about solutions. Finally, they had a chance to begin building a plan for an IG project.
