Drinker Biddle Named a Best Law Firm for Women by Working Mother

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has been named one of the 50 Best Law Firms for Women by Working Mother magazine. This is the sixth time that the firm has been featured on the list in the past nine years.

The prestigious list recognizes law firms with exceptional family-friendly policies and career and business development initiatives that provide women attorneys with opportunities to thrive in their careers and advance into leadership roles.

“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to providing professional development opportunities and a flexible workplace that allows all our lawyers to achieve their career and personal goals,” said Andrew C. Kassner, Chairman and CEO of Drinker Biddle. “Through leadership, policy and action we have worked to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects our clients and society. We hope others in the legal industry will follow our lead and the see the value it brings to the entire profession.”

This recognition is the latest in a string of milestones and honors for the firm related to the advancement of women. In early 2018, Drinker Biddle announced that women now comprise half of the firm’s Managing Partners and Executive Management Team, a new standard for advancement of women’s leadership in the legal industry. The firm was also chosen as the 2018 recipient of the Promotion of Women in the Law Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession. Drinker Biddle also is participating in the 2018 Diversity Lab Hackathon series to pitch solutions that will boost diversity and inclusion in the law.

“We are proud of our efforts to improve the recruitment, retention and promotion of female attorneys at the firm,” said Lynne Anne Anderson and Jennifer Breuer, partners and co-chairs of Drinker Biddle’s Women’s Leadership Committee. “It’s an honor to be recognized as leaders in the legal industry in supporting opportunities for all lawyers.”

Drinker Biddle’s Women’s Leadership Committee supports the career progression of female lawyers at the firm by continually working with firm leadership to review policies and procedures, as well as hosting internal business development coaching programs, rainmaking forums and other initiatives.
