Faegre Baker Daniels Earns Top Marks for Corporate Equality

For the fourth consecutive year, Faegre Baker Daniels received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

FaegreBD is one of 527 major U.S. businesses to earn top marks and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.

“Fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace is synonymous with success – success that benefits our clients, our talent and our firm,” said FaegreBD Managing Partner Andrew Humphrey. “Our welcoming and dynamic work environment allows Faegre Baker Daniels to leverage different perspectives and develop strategies and solutions for clients.”

The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. FaegreBD’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria result in a 100 percent ranking.

Diversity and inclusion is a core value of FaegreBD. The firm embeds diversity and inclusion throughout its processes, policies, practices, departments and programming. These strategic efforts are overseen by FaegreBD's Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group and full-time, professional diversity staff. The firm’s LGBT Resource Group contributes to the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts and serves as a resource to firm leadership regarding LGBT matters.
