The Legal Intelligencer Identifies Drinker Biddle’s Corporate Practice as One of the Best in Pennsylvania

Drinker Biddle’s Corporate Practice was identified as one of the top three law firms in The Legal Intelligencer’s feature on the best law firm corporate practices in Pennsylvania. Drinker Biddle was honored as one of the finalists in the “General” corporate practice category.

The Legal asked Pennsylvania law firms to share their biggest deals and best examples of the work that makes clients turn to them. The work submitted by firms was done largely in Pennsylvania and throughout the rest of the country, with some matters taking place overseas. The key for inclusion was that the work was done primarily by Pennsylvania lawyers.

The determination of which firms have the best “General” corporate practices included an examination of each of the following specialties: Bankruptcy/Reorganization, Corporate Governance, Finance/M&A, Intellectual Property and Real Estate. In addition to being honored as a finalist in the General corporate practice category, Drinker Biddle was the winner of the Bankruptcy/Restructuring category.

“We are extremely proud to have been named one of the best corporate practices in Philadelphia,” said Neil K. Haimm, Chair of Drinker Biddle’s Corporate Group. “We have had a series of extraordinarily productive years, and it is nice to see all of the hard work we have put in for our clients recognized in this manner.”

The success of Drinker Biddle’s Corporate Practice is rooted in its deep experience across all transactional matters, with a focus on the core corporate areas of M&A, finance and securities. The practice works with clients on all types of transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, debt financing and corporate venture investment. Recent practice highlights include:

  • Advising Cott Corporation on the $1.25 billion acquisition of bottled water and coffee distributor DSS Group, Inc. from the New York-based private equity firm Crestview Partners.
