Applications Open for Faegre Baker Daniels' Diversity Fellowship Program

Faegre Baker Daniels LLP is accepting applications for its 2014 Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship program. FaegreBD offers four Fellowships annually that provide professional experience and mentorship to second-year law students from populations historically underrepresented in the legal profession.

Fellowship awardees will each receive a 10-week summer clerkship in the firm's Chicago, Denver, Des Moines, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Minneapolis or South Bend office between their second and third years of law school. During the clerkship, awardees will participate in formal education, training programs and hands-on legal experience through the firm's summer program. Each recipient will be matched with a mentor lawyer who will offer guidance to the student throughout the academic year and during the summer associate experience.

Students selected for the Fellowship will each receive a $10,000 stipend at the conclusion of their summer associate positions. Recipients are eligible to be considered for full-time employment as an associate with the firm upon graduation from law school.

Applicants for the Diversity Fellowship must be enrolled in a J.D. program at an accredited U.S. law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2015 and be interested in a summer associate position with the firm. Candidates must also submit a personal statement describing how or why they will contribute meaningfully to diversity and inclusion at Faegre Baker Daniels and/or in the legal profession.

Interested law students may visit FaegreBD.com/Fellowship for more information and should complete the online application (select Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship from the menu on the left) for the 2014 Diversity Fellowship by September 6, 2013.

The Fellowship program supports Faegre Baker Daniels' ongoing commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. FaegreBD invests in recruiting a diverse workforce by supporting pipeline programs, attending multiple diversity job fairs, and conducting on-campus outreach to diverse law student populations.
