Drinker Biddle Named a 2009 Best Law Firm For Women by Working Mother Magazine

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has been named among the 2009 Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers “Best Law Firms for Women” in recognition of the firm’s continued attention to work-life and women’s issues, including the use of flex-time, reduced-hour and other policies to help working parents succeed in their legal careers.

“As a firm, we strive for excellence in all of our work for our clients. In fact, it’s one of our core values,” said Alfred W. Putnam, Jr., Chairman of Drinker Biddle. “And one of our other core values is to endeavor to maintain a balance between our work and the rest of our lives, which helps us provide the best in service to our clients. We’re proud to have earned this recognition.”

In noting “What We Love” about Drinker Biddle, Working Mother lauded the firm’s recently updated flex-time policy. The magazine also recognized Drinker Biddle’s innovative firm-wide management of its part-time lawyers and applauded its “thriving” women’s committee that is charged with providing the firm’s senior management with specific steps to help retain women lawyers.

Profiles of the 2009 Best Law Firms for Women are featured in the August/September issue of Working Mother and at www.workingmother.com and www.flextimelawyers.com. Winning firms will be honored at a luncheon in New York on September 15.
