North America - United States | Europe | Europe - Russia | Europe - United Kingdom | North America | North America - Canada

Several employees of a leading artificial intelligence and machine learning innovator ran out of lawful immigration time in the United States while awaiting visa processing. The employer had filed several U.S. H-1B visa petitions in April 2017 and again in April 2018. Due to the annual quota, these petitions were either not selected for adjudication or were still awaiting adjudication.

Our firm’s immigration and global mobility team provided creative strategy and diligent assistance to the company. With our assistance the company secured appropriate visas in alternative countries for all individuals that the company seeks to employ worldwide due to their specialty knowledge and experience. Our work included overseeing time-sensitive visa processing in multiple countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada and Russia.
