Bill has built a robust litigation practice principally involving commercial disputes and consumer class actions. He is an accomplished class action litigator who has handled high-value claims arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and various federal and state consumer protection statutes. He has also successfully prosecuted and defended claims grounded in breach-of-contract, antitrust, and fraud theories. Bill likewise has conducted internal investigations of alleged fraud or corporate mismanagement. Bill routinely represents major institutions in the wireless and telecommunications, healthcare, pharmaceutical and consumer retail industries.

Data Management and e-Discovery

Bill is a member of the firm’s cross-discipline data management and discovery team, and has significant experience counseling clients on cutting-edge data management issues. He advises clients on appropriate litigation holds, and document collection and retention policies. Bill has also managed numerous large scale-electronic document reviews. He also serves as a client liaison with technical experts, advising on the appropriate format and scope of electronic productions. In class action litigation, Bill often utilizes his e-discovery proficiency in the class discovery phase and has prevailed on several discovery disputes relating to data collection.

Public Service

Bill’s commitment to service extends to his law practice, where he has devoted significant time to pro bono matters, including the representation of special needs children in education matters. More recently, Bill has handled several pro bono criminal matters for indigent defendants.

Personal Interests

Bill is a diehard sports fan, rooting for the New York Yankees and Richmond Spiders. He is also an avid reader and a classic car enthusiast.
